Lena came to our Centre (PCC) first just for counseling after escaping from her abusive husband. Her son was only six months old at that time. A bit later she moved into an apartment with a lady from Romania who had a little girl. The Romanian turned out to be a violent person and we had to rescue Lena from the building with the help of two police officers! After that she stayed in our Centre's guest room for about a month before finding her own apartment.
During all this time many of our volunteers were helping Lena in different ways (babysitting, looking for an apartment, furniture, baby clothes etc., taking her to the police station, hospital and to a law office). For a long time she had been a seeker of spiritual life, and now during all these trials she did find faith in Jesus Christ.
