YWAM - Cyprus' Ministries

MINISTRIES:

Evangelism:
Touch of light: Every Wednesday night a small team reach out to the bar girls and prostitutes that work in the cabarets in Nicosia. Believers from local churches join us both in prayer and in reaching out.

Intercession:
We believe intercession to be a foundational part of our ministry, in seeing God's purposes and plans unfold in Cyprus and the region.

Reconciliation:
As YWAM here in Cyprus we have a calling to be involved in reconciliation, both among God's people and also between the divided communities in Cyprus. At the moment we are trying to build bridges between Christians in the North and in the South, bringing together God's people across the line that divides our two communities.

Pre-school Resource Ministries:
Since 1997 we have been involved in resourcing pre-schools in the Middle East. In partnership with YWAMers from around the world we give seminars for pre-school teachers, helping to start pre-schools and providing educational material. The largest single project so far has been the translation of a Biblical Pre-school Curriculum into Arabic.

Training:
In the past few years we have been providing training in the following areas:
- Discipleship Training Course (On a yearly basis)
- Course / Seminar Early Childhood Education (In the Middle East every Year)
- Intercession seminars
- Biblical Christian Education

Local Church Involvement:
A major part of our focus as a base here is to be fully involved in the life of the church in Cyprus. All of our team are part of local churches and many of our ministries are in partnership with local believers.
